Jiang Hanwen, director of the Furward R & D Center, has a senior professional title, has a strong sense of technological innovation and corporate management capabilities, and leads a management team with different professional backgrounds and rich experience to work together for the rapid and steady development of the company. There are about 40 R & D personnel, including 6 intermediate engineers, 2 graduate students, and 18 undergraduates. The relevant R & D personnel have many years of experience in the R & D and production of pearlescent pigments. The center mainly adopts independent research and development, cooperates with universities and scientific research institutes, and introduces foreign advanced technology and re-innovation. It uses the testing resources of Zhejiang University of Technology to carry out the testing and analysis of high-end products, and cooperates with Shanghai Silicate Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, striving to achieve scientific and technological innovation and breakthroughs, constantly developing new products, and making full use of the technology, human resources and advanced and mature technological achievements of colleges and universities, the two sides give full play to their respective advantages and carry out comprehensive cooperation through various forms to jointly build industry-university-research cooperation. In 2017, it was recognized as a provincial high-tech enterprise research and development center.

The company invests not less than 6% of its sales revenue in scientific and technological research and development every year, and has more than 10 million original research and development equipment: advanced QUV ultraviolet accelerated aging testing machine, ColorEye®XTS colorimeter, Malvern particle size tester mastersizer3000, LS-POP, laser particle size analyzer, PH value control system, titanium tetrachloride batching system, sewage treatment system, pure water preparation system, mica grinding equipment, natural gas calcination kiln, with ProMinent measurement control instruments, TAS-990 atomic absorption spectrometry, microwave digestion instrument, chemical hydrothermal coating equipment and other major testing equipment (sets), at the same time equipped with a pilot amplification line, supporting engineering and equipment complete.

The 13 projects carried out by the company in the past three years have also been transformed into results. The research and development of ultra-fine colored mica pigments, high weather-resistant mica-based pearlescent pigments, high-dispersion ultra-fine mica powder and other related products, has applied for zhuanli14 items, obtained the invention zhuanli4 project, obtained the utility model zhuanli6.
