Sustainable development
The Together for Sustainability (TfS) initiative was jointly developed in 2011 by the chief procurement officers of six multinational companies: BASF, Bayer, Evonik Industries, Henkel, Lanxess, and Solvay. All member companies strive to achieve sustainable development goals and support the principles of the UN Global Compact and Responsible Care. This means that companies care not only about themselves but also about their suppliers' environmental, social, and good governance practices during operations. The initiative aims to increase the transparency of sustainability standards in the chemical industry's supply chain and coordinate the consistency of these standards.
